DIY Serving Trays with cabinet doors, paint, balloons, and a hairdryer

For this year’s Christmas presents for the women in our family, I finally found a use for my giant stack of old cabinet doors. I’d tested out my general plan by making a tub tray for myself, and now I was ready to tackle the project of making 7 serving trays! If you have a bunch of Shaker cabinet doors lying around, this is a great use for them. Or, I’ve heard people can go to a Habitat for Humanity Restore and find rehab-able Shaker doors. (Shaker doors are VERY popular and easy to find online for pretty cheap too.)

Anyway, here are a few different ways I made the art for each tray, plus how I did the surrounding wood and hardware for them all.

Living Room Fireplace Update

New house renovation project time! I need to write a quick one this week because the girls are sick and my husband is not up to wiping all the noses himself. BUT, I love how much this simple project transformed our living room. And it was so easy that I’m confident anyone can do it. You only need a few supplies, a few tools, a few hours, and BAM – a whole new look to your living room!

Updates All Around

Greetings!

Needless to say, the past few years have been life-changing for many of us. Personally, I kicked off the pandemic by having a baby in a COVID hotspot. Then we moved in with my parents to be closer to family. Then the hubs changed jobs. Then we bought a car. Then we bought a house and permanently moved across the state. Recently I lost a large percentage of my job.

How do I deal with stress and anxiety? I get super creative.
